What lens can the Lumix G1 use?
When i purchased my camera i heard that the Lumix brand shares the same lenses with another company. But i did not fully hear what lens he said. It was i think Olympus or Pentax. Can anyone confirm. Or maybe i’m wrong and misheard what he said.
The Micro Four Thirds lenses made by Olympus will work with it. However, the Panasonic Micro Four Thirds cameras do not have image stabilization built into the Camera Body. Olympus Micro Four Thirds cameras do use image stabilization in the body. So the Olympus lenses lack image stabilization, and the Panasonic lenses usually include it. Therefore if you want image stabilization with the G1 you would need a Panasonic lens. If you use an Olympus lens on a Panasonic body you have to do without the image stabilization.
